JOHN (JACK) ELLIOTT
John (Jack) Elliott, born on February 19, 1937, passed away suddenly in hospital on July 26, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease and congestive heart failure. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosanne (Truchan), with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage, and his loving children, Tina, Beth, and Paula. Jack also leaves behind his dear sister, Kathy Elliott-Proudfoot (Ian), along with numerous nieces and nephews, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen Armstrong Elliott-Philips; father, John Henry Elliott; brother, Paul; granddaughter, Lydia Grace Conte; niece, Natalie Perrin; and cousins, Mary Ross and Lenore Shearman. A man of quiet strength and deep faith, Jack was a Knight of Columbus who prayed daily for his loved ones and those he encountered throughout his life. He dedicated his career to supporting his family through various roles, most recently at The Toronto Star. Jack will be remembered for his sense of humor, storytelling ability, and as a steadfast protector and example of kindness to his family.
