He was the son of Allan and Margaret Mills, husband of Susan O'Shaughnessy, father of Michael, Allan, and Laura, and grandfather of Charlotte, Sophie, Madeleine, Alyson, Jayden, Peyton, and John. He is also survived by his twin sister, Joanne Illsley, and nephew and niece, Ryan and Megan. John is predeceased by no one mentioned. Private services will be held.
