HARVEY BARRON

Harvey Barron passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, family devotion, and community service. As the owner of Carpetman in Cliffside Village, he was a founding member of both the Scarborough Businessman Association and the Cliffside Village BIA. Harvey served as a Scarborough City Councillor from 1985 to 1997, advocating for projects like the Birchmount Community Centre and actively participating in the Lions Club. He is survived by his beloved wife Betty, with whom he shared 75 years of marriage, and their eight children: Paul (Catherine), Diane, Ted (Lynda), Dave (Pamela), Andy (Tina), Joanne (Kelly), John (Lindsey), and Mary (Richard). He also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Harvey's commitment to helping others will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.
