GERALD "GERRY", "GERBEAR" ROSS
Gerald "Gerry" Ross passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, after a brief battle with brain cancer. A native of Oshawa and long‑time resident of Alliston, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and a respected member of his community. He was predeceased by his wife Katherine Ross and is survived by his wife Gillian Winter; daughters Sara Ross Sawchuck and Alana Ross; step‑daughters Sally and Emily; and grandchildren Sam, Juliette, and Livvy. Gerry was the brother of Katie Rudow and the late Don Ross, brother‑in‑law to Karen, and a cherished uncle, cousin, and friend to many. For nearly five decades he practiced dentistry in Tottenham, Ontario, earning recognition as an international expert in laser dentistry and a mentor to colleagues worldwide. His interests included travel, golf, curling, fishing, fitness, and time with family. Visitation will be held at W. John Thomas Funeral Home in Alliston on August 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Matthews House Hospice.
