ERNEST CASPER BENGERT

Ernest Casper Bengert passed away on August 12, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on October 8, 1928, in Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, to Peter and Christine Bengert, he was predeceased by his wife Florence in 2008 and his brother Del. Ernest is survived by his sister Lillian Schreiner, his children Bonita Porter, Darrell, Doug, Dean, and Drew, as well as his grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a distinguished career with the Robert Simpson Company, ultimately becoming Vice President of Corporate Personnel in 1981, before retiring in 1984. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Viva Retirement Community, Dr. Amirthini Tharmalingam, the Renal Palliative Care Team at Credit Valley Hospital, and the staff at Dorothy Ley Hospice for their compassionate care.
