EDIE ALMASI CRACOWER

Edie Almasi Cracower, born on May 8, 1951, in Szeged, Hungary, passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 75, at Grey Bruce Hospice, Chapman House. Edie was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, partner, and friend, whose warmth and grace touched the lives of many. Known affectionately as 'Glama' by her grandchildren, she was celebrated for her style and the love she shared with her family. An accomplished entrepreneur and bookkeeper, Edie approached her work with dedication. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and cooking, creating beauty and connection in her life. Edie is survived by her husband, Howard Cracower; children Leslie Farkas (Melanie), Jonathan Farkas (Rachel), Alex Farkas (Sandra), and Matthew Cracower (Audrey); her brother Tibor and his children; the children of her late sister, Marie (John); sisters Suzanne (Ralph), Andrea (Dugald), and Danielle (Daniel), along with their children; and her beloved Lab, Lucy. She was a proud grandmother to Ashley, Kyla, Reese, Maximilian, Laurelyn, Leyana, Oliver, Amelia, and Isabelle, and a treasured great-grandmother to Allison, Clark, Aiden, Connor, Kade, and Kolsten.
