DOREEN MILDRED MEDLAND

Doreen Mildred Medland passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 100, at her residence in Etobicoke. She was the wife of the late Stanley Medland. Doreen will be deeply missed by her brother, Hartley, her sons, Ray and his wife Denyse, and John; John's ex-wife, Kathleen, and their daughter, Katie; as well as her nieces, nephews, and friends. Born in Keystown, Saskatchewan, on December 3, 1925, she grew up on the family farm. After marrying Stan in 1948, they settled in Toronto in 1954, where they became very active in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Islington. Doreen was appreciated by all for her kind and gentle spirit. The family expresses deep gratitude to the staff at Scarlett Heights Residence, to Ontario Health at Home, and to the private caregivers who lovingly cared for her and allowed her to enjoy pleasurable activities even in her last days. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Islington, followed by a small reception. In Doreen's memory, donations may be made to St. Andrew's or to your favourite charity.
