DONALD JONES
Donald Jones, an engineer in the nuclear power industry, passed away peacefully in Mississauga on June 13, 2026, at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia, the mother of his three sons: Ian, Glyn (Elsinore, and her children Erielle, Sky, Evelyn, Reilly, Randall, and Rowell), and Craig (Michelle). He is also survived by granddaughters Rhyelin and Anna, grandsons Nolan and Nathaniel, niece Lynda Reeder (Tommy), and nephew Clive Perriman (Phyllis) in the UK. Donald cherished his memories of the Canning brothers from Downsview, Ontario, who welcomed him during his early days in Canada. He joined the CANDU design team at Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. in 1967 and retired in 2003, having held various significant positions, including Section Head and Principal Engineer, contributing to major projects such as the Point Lepreau and Gentilly 2 Nuclear Generating Stations.
