BO EDWARD BASIUK

Bo Edward Basiuk passed away peacefully at his home in Dundas on August 6, 2026, at the age of 90, with his loving wife Susan by his side. Born on April 7, 1936, Bo is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Helen and Ed Kolomaya, sister-in-law Judith Nielsen, nephew Paul Nielsen, and other relatives. A native of Winnipeg, Bo graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in electrical engineering in 1958 and later became a teacher, spending 25 years at Jarvis Collegiate Institute in Toronto. He was a proud Ukrainian and had a lifelong passion for music, particularly Country Blues, and published BLUES Magazine from 1972 onwards. Bo will be remembered for his dedication to his community and the environment.
