BARRY EDMUND MCDERMOTT

Barry Edmund McDermott was born on July 7, 1941, and passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at the age of 84, with family by his side, at Wellbrook Place in Mississauga. He was the son of Ella McDonnell and Edmund McDermott. Barry shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dianne Devereaux. He was a devoted father to Patrick McDermott, Alan McDermott, and Laura McDermott, and a proud grandfather to Jenna, Emily, Sydney, Caden, and Tanner. He was predeceased by his sister, Aileen Stacey. Barry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his steady spirit, and his understated wit and humour. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wellbrook Place for their compassionate care. The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home.
