Joel WAGLER
Joel Wagler passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 86. He is survived by his children, Loretta Wagler, Norma Kuepfer (Paul), Rose Steckly (Ed), Frieda Kuepfer (Ken), Edgar (Emmaline), Sally Kuepfer (Wes), Edith Streicher (Paul), and Alvin (Ruth). Joel is also survived by his grandchildren, Aaron, Darren, Trevor (Alyssa), Jessica (Brian), Curtis (Molly), Dylan, Lanelle (Cody), Jamie (Hannah), Jennessa (Kyle), Cameron (Grace), Craig, Jeremy (Amanda), Dana (fiance Tanner), Tricia (Chris), and Tyler (friend Kyla), as well as his 14 great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters, Lydia Kuepfer, Catherine Kuepfer, and Dorothy Kipfer; in-law, Katie Wagler; and step-siblings, Amanda Lantz, Amos Smoker (Rebecca), Alta Petersheim, Fannie Fisher, Betty Petersheim, and Jake Petersheim. In-laws, Adeline (Germain) DeBrouwer, Muriel Harvey, and Joseph (Rosanna) Kuepfer also survive him. Joel was predeceased by his wife, Lydiann (née Kuepfer); his parents, Solomon and Fannie (nee Kuepfer); and stepmother, Sallie; grandson, Benjamin Joel Steckly; siblings, Aaron (Fannie), Elizabeth (George Bast, Daniel Gerber, Rudy Wagler), Enos (Mary), Solomon, Jr. (Lavina), Jacob (Dorothy), Ezra Kuepfer, Cora Kuepfer (Noah), Elam (Mary), Menno (Katie), David S. Kuepfer, David Kuepfer, Earl Kipfer; step-siblings, Mary and Reuben Smucker, Amos Lantz, Lydia Smoker, Elam Petersheim, John Fisher, and Andy Petersheim; and in-laws, Harold (Almeda) Kuepfer and Larry Harvey. Family and friends are invited to call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m., and from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Zion Mennonite Fellowship, on Wednesday, April 8th, at 1:00 p.m., 44902 Cranbrook Road, Brussels, Ontario. Interment will take place at Morningview Cemetery, 4815 Line 70 Newton, ON N0K 1R0. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Zion Mennonite Fellowship.
