William "Bill" Andrew BAXTER
William 'Bill' Andrew Baxter passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa on May 8, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on March 9, 1948, in Hamilton, Ontario, Bill was the beloved son of the late Dorothy and William Baxter. He was the devoted husband of the late Sharon Baxter and the cherished father of Lisa, Michelle, and Grant. He was a proud grandfather to Chloe Burroughs. Bill is survived by his siblings Sue Russell, Laurie Tiberi, Barbara Dalrymple, and John Baxter, and predeceased by his siblings Larry Russell and Lynda. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, former colleagues, and all who knew him. Bill worked as a Certified Engineering Technologist with the City of Hamilton for more than 25 years. He was a long-time member of St. Margaret Mary Parish. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Bay Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 15, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Parish, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Macassa Lodge ADP, VON ADP, and St. Joseph's Villa for their exceptional care, compassion, and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Cancer Assistance Program.
