Shirley Ann Garbutt

Shirley Ann Garbutt of Hamilton, Ontario, passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her brother Gary Cooper and is survived by her husband John, daughter Crystal, grandchildren Taylor, Keara (Shahin) and Chloe, great‑grandchildren Iah and Isak, siblings Rosemary Tait, Sharon Cooper and Clifford Cooper, close friend Regina Simpson, and friends G. Wallace and Hamilton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at L. G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa St N, Hamilton, ON L8H 3Z2, followed by a memorial service at the same location from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 700 Chapel Hill Rd, Stoney Creek, ON L8J 0B5, from 12:15 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the same day. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Villa are requested.
