Salvatrice Alaimo (Sara)

Salvatrice 'Sara' Alaimo passed away on May 4, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on January 7, 1932, in Racalmuto, Agrigento, Sicily, she was the daughter of Nicola and Maria Gagliardo. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Alaimo, loving mother of Rose (Enzo) Galano and Mary (Todd) Martin, cherished Nonna to Neale (Alex), Evan (Jia), and Christopher (Ana), and proud Bisnonna to Ian, Luca, and Hugo. She is also survived by her siblings and siblings-in-law, including Vincenzo (the late Catarina) Gagliardo, Anna (the late Stefano) Alaimo, Giuseppina (the late Nicolo) Tinebra, and Rose (the late Frank) Cherubin, as well as many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Luciano and Rosa Alaimo, the late Tony Gagliardo, the late Luigi (Diana) Gagliardi, the late Lina Fasullo, the late Carmelo Alaimo, and the late Gaetano Alaimo. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Mohawk Trails, Regina Gardens Nursing Home, and Juravinski Hospital for their care and compassion. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, a funeral mass will be held at All Souls Church, followed by entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
