Ronald Victor "Vic" GOERTZEN

Ronald Victor "Vic" Goertzen passed away on August 15, 2026, at Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Doreen Hostick, his sister Hilda Peters of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and numerous nieces and nephews. Vic spent 25 years as a bus driver for St. Catharines Transit before retiring. A devoted enthusiast of country and bluegrass music, he played upright bass for many years and attended festivals with his wife, forming many friendships along the way. He also maintained a 50-year membership with his Masonic Lodge. A service and gathering will be held at the Merritton Legion, 2 Chestnut Street, St. Catharines, on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m., followed by inurnment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11 a.m. Arrangements are with Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines.
