Marijan "Mark" VOLARIC

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marijan "Mark" Volaric on March 5, 2026, in his 83rd year.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Mary, and his cherished grandchildren Mitchel and Alexia. His daughter Sonja (Myke), his son Mark (Stacey), and his grandson Hunter. Marijan was predeceased by his parents Marija and Juraj Volaric, and his brothers Slavko Grguric, Mate Volaric, and Rudolph Volaric. He is survived by his brothers Ivica Volaric (Marie) and Vlado Volaric, his sister Durda Wade-Volaric, and will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Born in Karlovac, Croatia, Marijan made his way to Canada in 1962, where he built a life filled with passion and enjoyment. He loved dancing, music, fast cars, travelling, and poker games enjoyed with a good cigar. When he wanted to slow down, you could find him sitting patiently in a boat or along the shore, fishing for hours.

When he wasn't fishing, Mark enjoyed "watching the box." Hockey especially his beloved Montreal Canadiens, Formula 1 Grand Prix, and just about any animal show always had his attention.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to Officer Houle and Officer VanLuik, whose kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 1919 King Street East (between Rosedale and Cochrane), on Wednesday, March 18, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 19, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Bayview Cemetery, Burlington.
