Maria Giuseppa "Giuseppina" Melfi

Maria Giuseppa 'Giuseppina' Melfi passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 103. She was the beloved wife of the late Marco Vincenzo Melfi, who predeceased her in 2015. Giuseppina was a loving mother to John and his wife Mary, and Lucia and her late husband Virgilio Camposilvan. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Madalynn and her husband Joel, Laura and her husband Rocco, Marco and his wife Janet, Nicole and her husband Bradley, Roberto and his wife Gabriella, Peter and his wife Emma, and Lorenzo and his wife Marisa; and she was a great-grandmother to Noah, Julia, Kathryn, Luca, Mackenzie, and Mila. Giuseppina was the loving sister of the late Rosina and her late husband Ido, the late Paolo and his wife Lucia, the late Angela, and Elisa. The family would like to thank all the Personal Support Workers who cared for her. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, located at 43 Barton St. E., on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 3-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at All Souls Church, located at 21 Barton St. W., on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Souls Church, the Alzheimer's Society, or Breakthrough T1D Canada.
