Leonardo Loprieno

Leonardo Loprieno of Hamilton, Ontario, passed away on September 3, 2026. He is remembered fondly by all who knew him, having touched many lives through the moments shared and memories created. Leonardo was deeply loved by his wife, Maria (nee Borelli), and is survived by his children, Giovanni (Patricia) and Lisa Loprieno (David Eckmeier), along with his cherished grandchildren, Gabriella, Leonardo, and Lorenzo. He was the beloved son of Filomena and Giuseppe Loprieno, and son-in-law of Giovanni and Bernardina Borelli. Leonardo is also survived by his sisters, Gina, Ninetta, and Rosa; sisters-in-law, Josie (the late Mike Hewak) and Angela (Ross Fimani); brother-in-law, Joe (Michelle Borelli); and many nieces and nephews. Visitation took place on September 7, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel. A funeral Mass was held on September 8, 2026, at All Souls Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his memory.
