June WOOD

June Wood (nee McLachlan) passed away on April 25, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 88. Born on June 25, 1937, in Glasgow, Scotland, June lived a full and meaningful life grounded in love, family, and service. In 1957, she married James, who predeceased her in 2025, after they met at a dance hall in London. That same year, they emigrated to Canada, beginning a new chapter together that would span 68 devoted years of marriage. June was a proud and loving mother to Roderick (Margot), Allister (Sue), and Cameron. She was a cherished grandmother to Alexander, Victoria, Angus (Brooke), and Virginia (Evan), and a beloved great-grandmother to Paisley, Paige, Scarlett, and Lucy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa Street North, from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m., with a service to follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. June leaves behind a legacy of devotion to family and friends - she will be sadly missed by all.
