Ignazio Russo

Ignazio Russo passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 83, at Juravinski Hospital. He was the proud father of Lillian (Cory), Francine (Livingston), and Sam (Susana), and a loving nonno to Christopher (Samantha), Joshua (Lauren), Nora (Nathan), and Evan (Gio). His great-grandchildren, Amelia and Layla, will miss their nonno. Ignazio was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Calogera Russo, and his siblings, Charlie (Lina) Russo, Toto (Nina) Russo, and Irene (the late Pietro) Saracino. He is also survived by his sister, Ignazia (Nazia) (the late Carmelo Pirrera) of Sicily, and Calogera (Lila) (the late Giuseppe Agro) of Belgium. Ignazio will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Canada, Sicily, and Belgium. Visitation will take place at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of All Souls Parish on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10 a.m., with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
