Harry Archibald MacDonald MARSHALL
Harry Archibald MacDonald Marshall passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 95. He was a longtime resident of the village of Mt. Hope. Harry was the beloved husband of the late Georgina Marshall, who predeceased him in 2019. He is lovingly remembered by his children, John, who predeceased him in 2014, Ken and his wife Katharine, and Jennifer. As the second youngest of ten children born to Scottish immigrants, Harry is survived by his older sister, Dina, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and neighbours. Harry spent his childhood on a farm in Charlton, Timiskaming District, in northern Ontario, before his family settled in Hamilton, where he completed his education, met his wife, and established a career as a lithographer and colour camera operator. He enjoyed many years of activities with his family, including skiing, camping, boating, and travelling. After retiring in the 1990s, Harry pursued his passions for fine woodworking, raising rare-breed chickens, and organic gardening. He will be remembered for his frugal nature, his support for the underdog, and his love of the great outdoors. A private cremation and interment will be held. Friends and family are invited to attend an informal Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, May 9th.
