Gerald Leroy SWIMM

Gerald Leroy Swimm passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 79. He was married to Barbara (née Ott) for more than 48 years and is survived by his children Derek, Jennifer (Tyler), Rebecca and Kyle (Amanda), as well as ten grandchildren. Gerald was a brother and a friend to many across Ontario and New Brunswick. He devoted over three decades to Dofasco before retiring, and in his leisure time he enjoyed supporting the Toronto Maple Leafs. Known for his willingness to help others, he was regarded as a kind soul. A cremation was performed in accordance with his wishes, and a committal service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 700 Chapel Hill Road, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 1 p.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
