Frank RISO

Frank RISO passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 95. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Waltraud 'Wally' Riso, who died in 2024. Frank was a devoted father to the late Hans Ruch, Rita, married to Bob Fillmore, Barb, married to Paul Moroz, and Alfred Ruch. He was a proud and loving Opa to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Vince Riso, and his wife Lynda. Frank was also predeceased by his parents, Dominic and Sara Riso, and his siblings, Luis Riso, Anna Varrasso, and Vita Gennaro. Frank will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends in Canada and Italy. He will be fondly remembered for his passion for sports, especially baseball as a dedicated fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, and football as a loyal supporter and season ticket holder of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Frank's talent for Italian cooking brought joy to family and friends alike. Frank and Wally shared a love of travel, making many cherished trips to Italy and Germany over the years to visit family and friends. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at The Wellington Nursing Home for their exceptional support throughout Frank's residency. A special thank you to Cindy and her team for the kindness and love they showed him. Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington.
