Evelyn Rhoda (Smith) Denckert

Evelyn Rhoda (Smith) Denckert of Hamilton, Ontario, passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 105. Born on April 27, 1921, she was a beloved member of her family and community. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Norm. She is survived by her children, Doreen Samson and Norman F. Denckert (Gloria), along with her grandchildren, Mark Samson, Sara Fisher (Craig), Jessica Denckert, Rachel DaMota (Val), and Ashley Jayne (Elizabeth). Evelyn also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Maddison, Isabella, and Keegan DaMota. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A burial will occur later that day at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
