Dirce Maria FURLAN

Dirce Maria Furlan passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruno Rino Furlan (deceased 1998) and the youngest child of the late Giovanni and Luigia Franzin. Dirce immigrated from Italy to Canada in 1957 and worked long, labor‑intensive jobs to support her family. She is survived by her children Robert (married to Carrie), Walter (married to Liz) and Dino (married to Debra); her grandchildren Stephanie (married to Pierce), Joel (married to Danielle), Jacob (married to Cadence), Josh (married to Lisa), Jared, the late Ryan, Katelin and Nicholas; and her great‑grandchildren Sullivan, Leopold and Ludwig. Visitation will be held at Markey‑Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on August 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. An entombment will follow at Holy Souls Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made as directed.
