Claudia ECKERT

Claudia Eckert passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 28, 2026, at the age of 87. She is reunited with her loving husband, Dieter, to whom she was married for 62 years, and her brother, Hans, who was killed in WWII. Claudia will be sorely missed by her son, Andrew, and her sister, Eve Hyder, of California, who will mourn her loss forever. Eve's daughter, Sibet, and her husband, George Alspaugh, grieve together over the loss of Aunt Claudia. She will also be forever missed by her sister-in-law, Margrit, and her husband, Volker, as well as Margrit's daughter, Swantje, and her husband, Karsten. Born on February 11, 1938, in Würzburg, Germany, Claudia came to Canada in 1959 and met and married Dieter in Hamilton on September 15, 1962. The family would like to extend tremendous appreciation and gratitude to the staff, PSWs, nurses, and doctors at Victoria Gardens Long Term Care facility in Hamilton for making her comfortable in her final months.
