Alfonsa Scibetta (née Monachino)

Alfonsa Scibetta (née Monachino) passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 79. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, the late Nicolo (Nick) Scibetta. Alfonsa was the adoring mother of Lina (Joe) Alfano, Sam (Rita), and Charlie (Cathy), and cherished nonna of Philip, Nicholas, Aria, and Ava. She is also predeceased by her parents, Calogero and Rosalia Monachino, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Calogero and Calogera Scibetta. Alfonsa was the dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Santa (the late Giuseppe Burgio), the late Giovanna (the late Ignazio Miceli), the late Raffaela Scibetta, the late Antonino (Marie) Scibetta, the late Calogero (Maria) Scibetta, Vincenza (the late Salvatore) Polizzi, the late Giuseppe (Fina) Scibetta, and the late Vincenzo (the late Rosa) Scibetta. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E., on Friday, June 12th, from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Souls Church on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
