John "Ted" Cole

John 'Ted' Cole passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the age of 78. He was the beloved husband of Gayle (nee Butler) for 56 years. Ted was a proud and loving father of Dawn (Corey) Brooking, David (Sheri) Cole, April Carter-Stoner, Kimberly (Paul) Ferguson, and Amber (Andrew) Barber. He was a loving grandpa of Kelsey, Brandon, Jenna, Erin, Alexander, Jessie, Zoey, Elijah, Allen, Alec, Anthony, Alyssa, and four great-grandchildren. Ted is survived by his sisters Barb Newton, Vivian (Mike) Besonen, and Virginia Cole. He was predeceased by his brothers Allan (Betty) Cole, Bob (Gretch) Cole, James Cole, and sister Marilyn Cole. Ted will be forever remembered and missed by his lifetime best friend Jurgen Kuhwald. A celebration of Ted's life will take place at a later date to be announced.
