JEAN "DAPHNE" KING

Jean 'Daphne' King passed away peacefully at the Meaford Hospital on February 23, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on July 11, 1928, Daphne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas King, and by her son, Brian King. She was the extremely proud mother of Paul King and his husband, Santiago Cardona Vargas. Daphne will be remembered for her unwavering support of her family and her 30 years of volunteering at the Meaford Nursing Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Christ Church Anglican, in Meaford, at 1 p.m., followed by a reception in the Galleries at the Meaford Hall. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Meaford Outreach would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home.
