Mary Giovanna Di Giacomo-Sloane

Mary Giovanna Di Giacomo-Sloane, born on April 3, 1958, passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 68. She is survived by her beloved husband, Samuel Carlyle Sloane, and her parents, Lina Di Gregorio and Donato Di Giacomo. Mary is also mourned by her brother, Domenic Di Giacomo, and sister-in-law, Franca Gallucci. Her legacy continues through her children, Daniel, Silvia, Angela Sloane, and Arman Mehrjoo, as well as her granddaughters, Olivia and Sofia Sloane. She is remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews, Alessandra Di Giacomo, John Di Giacomo, Wendy Edmeades, and Chris Edmeades. Visitation will take place on September 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes in Thornhill. A funeral Mass will be held on September 10, 2026, at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
