Maria Picciolo

Maria Picciolo of Markham, Ontario, passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on March 14, 1942, Maria was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout her life. She was loved and cherished by her spouse Natale, her children Giuseppina Santacroce (Mario), Anna Maria Prosperi (Rudy), and Antonino Picciolo (Shirley), her grandchildren Teresa Arancibia (Alex), Marianna Parsons (Brad), Anthony Prosperi (Stephanie), Alessia Prosperi, Damion, Natalie Picciolo, JuanPablo, Lucas Picciolo, and Audrey, and her great-grandchildren Segundo, Selena, Sebastian, Myah, Marek, Milena, Elio, and Allegra. Visitation was held on Thursday, June 11th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Highland Funeral Home - Markham Chapel. A funeral service was held on Friday, June 12th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location, followed by a burial at Christ the King Cemetery from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society with the deepest appreciation from the family.
