Allen "Al" Edward AGAR
Allen 'Al' Edward Agar passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 85. He is survived by his loving wife, Marg, to whom he was married for 51 years. Al is also survived by his children, Miles and Cara, and their spouses, Erin and Eric. He was a devoted father to his grandchildren, Allie and Ella Agar, and Anne and Duncan Stewart. Al's brother-in-law, Judy Agar, and his nieces and nephews also survive him. Predeceased by his parents, Miles and Catherine 'Katie' Agar, and his brother, Charles 'Chuck' Agar. Al was born and raised in Niagara Falls, where he spent his youth playing multiple sports. He was a dedicated educator and coach, teaching at A.N. Myer Secondary School and Lord Elgin Vocational School for 32 years. Al's coaching achievements included several wrestling team championships at SOSSA and OFSAA. He is fondly remembered for his love of travel, which began at the World Scout Jamboree in Warwickshire, England, in 1957, and continued with his wife, Marg, whom he met in New York City in 1972. Al's funeral will be held at PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME.
