Walter KORNAS

Walter Kornas passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family at University Hospital. He is survived by his wife Liz, son Christopher and his fiancée Natalie, siblings Alice Dunford, Leo Kornas, and Mike Kornas, as well as several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Olga Kornas. Born and raised in northern Ontario, Walter was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing, running, and hiking. He had a successful career in consulting, specializing in Indigenous economic development and later in long-term housing solutions. Walter will be remembered for his warm heart, quick wit, and generosity in sharing good times with others.
