Sandra Lee Stinchcombe (Sandi)
Sandra 'Sandi' (Sam) Lee Stinchcombe (nee Wernham) passed away on May 19, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 29, 1955, in Komoka, Ontario, Sandi grew up in Byron and later made her home in London, Ontario, with her beloved husband and high school sweetheart, Wayne Stinchcombe. In 2012, they retired to Lake Cowichan, British Columbia, to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. Sandi is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wayne; daughters Stephanie Stinchcombe and Kimberly Walters (Josh); and her grandchildren, Mackenzie and Charlie Walters. She is also survived by her mother Marg Harris; sister Anne Beaudoin (Bill); brothers Tom Wernham (Victoria), Steve Wernham (Jane Donville), and Jim Wernham (Mieke); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her brother Ted Wernham, stepfather Arnold Bud Harris, brother-in-law Gary Stinchcombe, and mother-in-law Ruth Stinchcombe. A small Celebration of Life will be held in Lake Cowichan, BC, on Thursday, June 18th. A Celebration of Life will also be held in London, Ontario, on Saturday, July 11th, from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Grosvenor Lodge. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Cowichan Hospice House for their care for Sandi in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made.
