Raymond CHAMBERS

Raymond Douglas Chambers passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the age of 94, at Parkwood Institute in London. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Emily Chambers and the late Marion Chambers. Raymond is survived by his sons, Miles Chambers and his wife Yvonne, and Andrew Chambers and his partner Sheri Capson, all of London. He was a loving grandfather of Aaron Chambers and his wife Kate, and Ryan Chambers and his wife Jenn, and a dear great-grandfather of Lily and Thatcher. Raymond is also survived by his step-daughter Donna McConnell and her husband Bryan of Strathroy, six step-grandchildren, and many step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Wilbur Chambers in 1997. Raymond dedicated his career to serving his community as a bus driver and later inspector with London Transit, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed travelling and attending country music jams. Friends and family will gather to celebrate his life on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
