Presbytera Dionysia Chelonis

The family of Presbytera Dionysia Chelonis announces her passing on September 9, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on July 5, 1939, she is fondly remembered by her family and friends. Presbytera Dionysia was predeceased by her siblings, George, Ted, John, and Martha, as well as her parents, Demetrios and Christina Lagogianes. She is survived by her husband, Father Demetre Chelonis, and her children, Anna Tsirgielis (George) and Peter Chelonis (Margie). Visitation will take place on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Logan-Evans Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, followed by burial at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in her memory.
