Patrick PETZ

Patrick Petz of St. Thomas died peacefully at his home on August 14, 2026, at the age of 95. He was born in Tillsonburg on March 17, 1931, the son of the late Leo and Francesca Petz, and later served thirty years with the Ontario Provincial Police before retiring. A member of St. Anne's Church, he was survived by his children David (married to Kathy), Mike (married to Rita), Patricia Doolittle (widow of the late John), Jeffrey (married to Ruth) and Kimberly Merklinger (married to Steve), as well as nine grandchildren, numerous great‑grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Faye (Gilbert) Petz. Arrangements are being handled by Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date; cremation will be followed by private interment of ashes in Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the New St. Thomas Animal Shelter.
