Patricia Ann Vansickle passed away on August 17, 2026 following complications from breast cancer treatments. A native of southwestern Ontario who grew up on a farm, she developed an early love of horses, showing Roadsters and Hackney horses before she could drive. As an adult she focused on American Saddlebred horses, serving as a member and past president of the American Saddlebred Association of Michigan and earning blue ribbons in Michigan and Ohio. While residing in London, Ontario, she was employed for many years by Fanshawe Community College and later worked in retail at Olsen Europe after retirement. In her final years she lived at Longworth Retirement Residence. She is survived by her siblings Robert (Gerald), Eileen (Keith), and Janice (John), as well as numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her father Byron (1969) and her mother Lula (2020). At her request, she was cremated; her ashes will be interred this fall in Dresden Cemetery. Memorial arrangements are with Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, Dresden. Donations may be made by cheque to the Breast Care Program at St. Joseph's Health Care Centre, London, Ontario, or online at the St. Joseph's Foundation website; online condolences and contributions are also accepted at Badder Funeral Home's website.
