Nelly Tessel

Nelly Tessel, born on February 14, 1944, passed away on October 17, 2026. She is survived by her husband, Nico Tessel; her daughter, Natasja Israels (Marty); her grandsons, Liam and Evan; her son, Patrick Tessel (Sue), and their children, Matias and Melia; and her son, Quido Tessel (Tetyana). Nelly was predeceased by her parents, Peter Braakman and Nel Braakman (née Bos). Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. George Parish, located at 1164 Commissioners Rd W, London, ON N6K1C7. A reception will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location. Burial will occur on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Cemetery, located at 806 Victoria St, London, ON N5Y4E1. Donations may be made to Covenant House in her memory.
