Marta Janek

Marta Janet Janek passed away peacefully at Elmwood Place on August 21, 2026, at the age of 80. She was the beloved wife of the late John Janek, who died in 2002, and a devoted mother to Monica Janek and son‑in‑law Erin Nicholson. Her granddaughter Isla was her cherished companion. Born in Krakow, Poland, Marta enjoyed travel, coffee shared with friends, cultivating a beautiful garden, and playing the piano. Visitors may be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on August 26, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m., with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
