Margarete Johanna (née Mitrovic) O'SHEA

Margarete Johanna O'Shea (née Mitrovic) of London passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, in her 84th year. Born on April 2, 1943, she was 83 years old at the time of her death. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas 'Tom' O'Shea (d. 2021) for over 60 years. Margarete is survived by her children, Michael (Donna), Terence (Krista), Stephen (Jackie), and Sean (Karen). She was a proud Oma of Courtney, Sabina, Karmen (Innes), Kieron (Ashley), Chantal (April), Deryk, Benjamin, Keegan, Jesse, and Piah, and a beloved Great-Oma of Henry, George, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Maria, Kingston, and Walker. Margarete is also fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters, including Renate Wolff (Joachim), Silvia Hölscher (Bernhard), Rosemarie Hollman (Wolfgang), Hans Mitrovic (Manuela), Anneliese Matrangolo (Francesco), Peter Mitrovic (Rosemarie), and the late Erwin Mitrovic and Wilma Mitrovic, as well as many nieces and nephews in Canada and Germany. A funeral service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Home, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margarete may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
