Margaret Hegyi (Peggy)
Margaret Hegyi (Peggy) passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her husbands, Jeff Charles and Julius Hegyi, parents, Harold and May Johnston, and brothers, Robert (Zil), William (Agnes) and Donald (Rose). Peggy will be deeply missed by her children, Deb (Mark Haney) and Michael Charles and grandchildren, Wade (Leslie), Kevin (Erin), Sean and Lyndsay, as well as her great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Myles, Isaac, Madison, Nylah and Ivy. She will also be missed by her step-sons, Sandy, Daryl and Michael Hegyi. Aunt Peg will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by the many friends she made on her way through life, including those from the Red Hatters of Rosetown, the Flower City Mixed Probus Club and Book Club and the Brampton Kiwanas Club. A service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, (Visitation 12 p.m. and Service at 1 p.m.) at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery. If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society where Peggy volunteered with the Wheels of Hope for 16 years.
