Louis Verberne

The family announces the passing of Louis Verberne of London, Ontario, on October 7, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on February 12, 1932, Louis was a cherished member of his community and family. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Jennifer Cawston (Ben) and is survived by his beloved wife Joanna. Louis leaves behind his children: MaryAnne Chin (Paul), John Verberne (Janet), Hatty Murray (Niall), Anthony Verberne (Lupita), Jeff Verberne (Laura), and Joanny Rudell (Rob). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Lawrence Chin, Justin Verberne (Ivette), Sara Nash (Dylan), Jordan Verberne (Jade), Taylor Verberne, Ryan Verberne (Tiana), Rachel Thompson, Nicolas Rudell, Jade Verberne, and Bryce Verberne, as well as his great-grandchildren Bastian, Tessa, Austin, Leo, Jordy, Isaiah, and Sahalie. Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, located at 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S, London, ON N6P1P8. A funeral Mass took place on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:30 AM at St. George Parish, located at 1164 Commissioners Rd W, London, ON N6K1C7. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honour Louis's memory to make a donation to Concerned Friends, an Ontario charity dedicated to advocating for improved long-term care.
