John Robert Mayer

John Robert Mayer of London, Ontario, passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on September 22, 1961, in Kitchener, Ontario, John was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Olga Bacalhau-Mayer; his children, Adam and Amanda; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Jada, Sean, and Jaxson. John was predeceased by his brother, Charles, and his parents, Martha and Earl Mayer. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandra Witmer, Patricia Edgeworth, and Ann Mayer. Visitation took place on September 5, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM at Harris Funeral Home, located at 220 St James St, London, ON N6A3H6. Memorial donations to London Health Sciences Centre (University Hospital) or Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Petersburg, ON, would be appreciated.
