Jean (Vola) (nee Durdle) WALSH
Jean Vola Walsh, nee Durdle, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband John Walsh, parents James and Gladys Durdle, and siblings Glenn, James, Doug, Jack, and Rena Sears. Jean is survived by her children Scott, Jeffrey, Jennifer, and Suzanne, as well as her grandsons Robert and Brandon, and great granddaughters Ava and Claire. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and many friends. Born in Kingsmill, Ontario, Jean spent her childhood on the family farm before moving to St. Thomas. She was a devoted member of St. Anne's Parish for over 60 years and worked at STEGH before raising her family. Jean and her husband John, who passed away in 2002, were married for 48 years and enjoyed traveling together. The family is grateful for the care provided by Chartwell/Age Care Aylmer and STEGH. A funeral will be held at Williams Funeral Home in St. Thomas on July 13, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario or the STEGH Foundation would be appreciated.
