Harminder Kaur BAINS

Harminder Kaur Bains passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 72, surrounded by her family in prayer after a brief illness. She was born on April 26, 1953, in Nangal, Punjab, India, and was the loving daughter of the late Sardar Sohel Singh and the late Sardarni Swaran Kaur Sangha. She will be deeply missed by her wonderful husband of 47 years, Dr. Bidhi Singh Bains; daughters Prabhjot Kaur Bains-Tumber and Dr. Sukhveer Kaur Bains. Harminder was the cherished younger sister of three brothers and treasured deeply by her sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, large extended family, and friends. The family would like to thank the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital ICU team and the LHSC Victoria Hospital CCU and CCTC staff for their compassion and care. The family would also like to thank the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, where Harminder and Bidhi have been longtime volunteers and received excellent care for many years. There will be a Sehaj Paath over seven days at the London Sikh Society Gurdwara on Clarke Road, starting on February 11, 2026, at Noon, in memory of Harminder. Funeral and Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Funeral Home, 1997 Dundas St. East, London, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Following the service, the family invites you for the conclusion of the Sehaj Paath and Langar at the London Sikh Society Gurdwara.
