Gerry Vander Weyst

Gerry Vander Weyst passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 85, while on a family vacation in North Bay. Born in the Netherlands, Gerry immigrated to Canada in 1952 with his family and eventually settled in Mt. Brydges with his wife Carolyn. He was a devoted father to Kelly, Lori, and Jeff, and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gerry was predeceased by his parents, several siblings, and other relatives. He is survived by his brothers John and Henry, sister Anne, and several siblings-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Gerry worked as a framer for over 40 years and enjoyed fishing. A visitation will be held on July 16, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and a funeral service will be held on July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., both at Denning's Funeral Home in Strathroy. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
