Frances Virginia Farmer

Frances Virginia Farmer passed away on July 22, 2026, in her 80th year. Born in London in 1946, she was the daughter of the late Alan and Marian Farmer. Frances was predeceased by her husband Alan Read in 2021. She graduated with a B.A. in Honours English from the University of Western Ontario and obtained her teaching diploma at the Althouse College of Education, going on to become a revered English teacher at Westminster Secondary School and later at Fanshawe College. Frances will be remembered by her brother Peter, son Alexander, daughter-in-law Laura D'Angelo, grandchildren Lily and James, nephew Nicholas, and his children Emma, Oscar, and Margo, as well as her Winfield cousins and the Read family. Private arrangements are in the care of Harris Funeral Home, London, Ontario, with a celebration of life to take place in the coming months.
