Eva Maria MATE

Eva Maria Mate passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 87, at Mount Hope Centre for Long-Term Care in London, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Czencz, and her son, Gregory Mate. Eva is survived by her sister, Agota Tenk, and her grandchild, Heather 'Piper' Mate and her partner Emma. Also surviving her are her nieces and nephews, including Stephanie Bowes and her children Josh and Allison, Christine and her husband Mike and their child Bodhi Sedlak, Paul Tenk and his partner Kim Finn, Jeff and his partner Brianne and their children Griffin and Poppy Tenk, and Marty Tenk and his partner Liz Gogol. A funeral service will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on August 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation.
