Dr. W. Wayne Weston
Dr. W. Wayne Weston died on August 15, 2026, in London, Ontario. He was married to Sharon and was the father of five children: Kimberly Henderson, Lisa Weston Tourigny, Zach Weston, Josh Weston and Matt Weston. He was also the grandfather of seven grandchildren: Luc Tourigny, Charlie Weston, Andrew Henderson, Samuel Weston, Nicole Henderson, Claire Weston and Nathan Weston. He is survived by his sister Sandra Allen, his brothers‑in‑law John O'Brien, Ade O'Brien, Brian O'Brien and Art Harron, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Sternie and Mae Weston, his brothers‑ and sisters‑in‑law Patsy O'Brien, Jim O'Brien, Susie Harron, Mike O'Brien, Andy O'Brien and Jack Allen, and his nephew Andrew Forbes. Born in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, he was educated at Jarvis Collegiate Institute in Toronto and earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto, where he also met his wife. After practicing ten years in Tavistock, he joined the University of Western Ontario in London, serving for more than three decades in the Department of Family Medicine as a physician, educator and researcher. Dr. Weston was a former Queen Scout who attended the 1957 World Scout Jubilee Jamboree in England, authored over 200 articles and book chapters, co‑edited two books and presented internationally, receiving multiple honours for his contributions to patient‑centered medicine.
